This page is a summary of some of the questions that we repeatedly get from guests. We put them here to save you time and effort, so please take a look at them before sending us your inquiry. We’re very happy to answer everything and everyone, but most of the questions are such that you can easily find the answer on the site.
THE LAKEVIEW HOLIDAY APARTMENTS
No we do not. We have full working apartments (4 of them, each of different size and setting). Each of the apartments is set as an open plan (see pictures on the apartment pages) and comprise a kitchenette, dining table, sitting area with a sofa that opens to a double bed, a sleeping area with a double bed and a bathroom.
Yes we do. If you need one, just ask us!
Yes you can! Just ask us and we can give you another mattress to add extra sleeping areas.
Yes they are. All of our apartments have air conditioning.
No they do not. All 4 apartments are set inside one building. a 15th century building in the heart of the old quarter of town where the alleys are very narrow, no cars are allowed and the buildings are very close and often adjoining. The building was purchased by us in a state of ruins and we restored it as per the rules and local laws so we did not add anything to the original features. This is why the apartments have no balconies or gardens/patios.
No, there is no pool. The building is set in the middle of the ancient town center in a narrow alleyway. There is a public (free) beach within 400 meteres distance – about 10 minutes of leisurely walk.
No we do not. The apartments are self-catering ones. You have a fully equipped working kitchen in each of them. We, the owners, do not live in Italy and our maintenance staff is local but they too do not live on the premises.
Sadly no. This is because the building is set in the middle of the ancient quarter of town in a narrow and very small alley. There are several parking lots though, both free and paid, within 2-3 minutes walking distance from the apartments (see map).
No, they are not. There are 2 apartments on the ground floor, 1 apartment on the 1st floor and 1 apartment on the second floor. Inside, each apartment (except for the smallest apartment 1) are set on split levels so there are some stairs within the apartment (not a lot).
If you’re missing something small like a knife or a mug you can purchase what you need at the supermarket when you do your shopping and then tell us so we will refund your costs. Often guests pack things to take on a picnic and lose them or forget them and since we are not living in Italy and our staff does not live on the premises, it’s hard to keep up. So as long as it is something small and cheap – it will be easier and faster if you buy it and we pay it back.
If it is something bigger (which is highly unlikely, but you never know) – call our maintenance staff and they will come in to bring what’s needed ASAP.
If something is broken, not working or you need assistance with anything, please call our local maintenance staff (we will provide you with their numbers i advance) and they will come in to take a look and fix it ASAP. If it is too complex to fix – they will give you the keys to one of the other apartments (upgrade is free of charge in this case of course).
Yes there is. We have WiFi Access, which the guests can enjoy free of any extra charge. You will receive the password to the Internet when you arrive.
THE RESERVATION & PAYMENT PROCESS
Unfortunately no. It’s not that we don’t like guests who stay for 1 night, it’s just not relevant once you figure out the cost. You see, the final cleaning fee must be paid whether you stay 1 night or 1 month, so it is always better to stay longer. With the amount of work our staff has to do to prepare for the arrival of a new guest and then after the guest leaves to clean up and organize the place for the next guests, it simply doesn’t make sense to rent out the apartment (remember – it is an entire apartment, not just a room) for 1 night. We therefore work with a minimum stay of 4 nights.
By all means – you are welcome! You will get a discount on the price for the extended stay and you will only have to pay the cleaning fee once (unless you ask us to come in and clean up while you are still there).
Yes and no. Simply put – we prefer that guests check in and out within specific time frames to make the life of our local maintenance staff easier. That said, we understand that many times flights can be delayed, traffic jams occur and you may not be able to arrive when you initially intended or leave when you are supposed to. This is fine. Just let us know (we will provide you with all necessary phone numbers in advance of course).
No problem. Let us and we will work something out. If it’s a matter of a few more hours – no problem at all (and no extra charge!). If it’s another night, assuming the next guest is not arriving the very next day, we are usually ok with it. You might have to switch apartments though if we need to prepare the apartment you stayed in for the next guest.
If you think you are ready to book please send us an email or use the reservation form. Once we confirm availability, you need to pay the 150 Euro deposit (fully refundable) so we can keep the apartment for you. If you cancel – you will be refunded.

AMENITIES IN THE AREA
No we don’t but if you come for a long time, there is a great laundromat called “Lavanderia il Sole” which is located about 7 minutes walk from the apartments or 2 minutes drive. They will do a load of 5kg of laundry, dry and fold it (no ironing) for about 10 Euros.
